⏱️How does tracking work?
TimePaws quietly counts your time in the social media apps you choose to track. When you pass a limit you set, your animal friend walks across the screen — no locking, no alarms. Totals reset at midnight, your local time.
👋How do I dismiss the animal?
A single tap sends it on its way. It won't be offended.
😴What's the snooze feature?
Press and hold the animal for a one-time snooze: reminders pause for 2 minutes so you can finish what you're watching. It works once per session — use it wisely.
🎭What are reminder moods?
Choose how persistent your friend gets in Settings → My Reminder Friend. Calm: every reminder is the same gentle visit. Playful: ignored reminders come back bigger, faster, and a little grumpy. Persistent: grumpy and noisy — extra chimes and stronger buzzes until you take a break.
🎉Why didn't I get a celebration?
Your friend celebrates when you leave a social app before your session limit — but only for sessions longer than a minute (quick peeks don't count), and at most once every 30 minutes. The celebration appears over your home screen a moment after you leave the app.
🔥How do streaks work?
Every full day you stay under your daily goal adds to your streak. The flame on the home screen shows it. Today doesn't count until it's over — finish the day under your goal to keep the streak alive.
👨👩👧How do I set up family linking?
On the parent's device: Settings → Parental Controls → create a family group. You'll get a 6-letter code. On the child's device, enter that code (and optionally the child's name, so alerts say who they're about). The parent then receives gentle alerts and a weekly summary every Sunday evening.
✨What does the Family Unlock include?
One $4.99 purchase — no subscription — unlocks all ten trackable apps, all eight animal friends, the Insights screen, and family linking, on every device in your family. Purchase it once on the parent's device; linked devices unlock automatically.
🔐Which permissions does TimePaws need, and why?
Usage access: to count time in the apps you track — this is the core of the app. Display over other apps: so the animal can walk across your screen. Notifications: for parent alerts and the weekly family summary. TimePaws never reads your messages, photos, contacts, or location.
🗑️How do I delete my data?
Everything on your device is deleted when you uninstall the app. If you used family linking, email privacy@tera-quark.com with your family code and we'll delete your family's cloud data within 30 days. Alert data auto-deletes after 30 days regardless.
